When backpacking, you typically wake up when the sun rises, eat breakfast, and then head out for a hike. This often leads to fatigue and exhaustion, especially if it is hot and humid outside. When we get back to the campsite, or arrive at a new one, I am often looking to relax and take a quick power nap. During the day, tents can trap heat inside from the sun, so I often look to my hammock as a day bed.
I have always used my friends’ hammocks, but once I started camping and backpacking myself, I decided that I wanted to get my own. I set my price range between twenty and forty dollars and began to scroll the websites. Amazon had hundreds of brands to select from, so I was sure to read all of the reviews so that I could find the best one for me.
Gold Armour hammocks is a brand that caught my eye when I saw that it had five stars and almost 3,000 ratings. Gold Armour had about twenty-five different color options, so I knew I would be able to find one that I wanted. While I was scrolling through their description pictures, Gold Armour shared what they do to give back. Five percent of profits go toward planting trees and restoring forests, and the business also uses proceeds to donate toys to the SF Firefighter Toy Program.
I really like what Gold Armour stood for, and the ratings were definitely promising, so I purchased the purple and fuchsia color combination. Since purchasing my Gold Armour hammock, I have used it all the time. It is extremely comfortable, easy to set up, and packs down small to fit perfectly into my backpack. For about 30 dollars, I was able to get a great hammock that is durable and will last a long time. https://www.amazon.com/Gold-Armour-Camping-Hammock-Lightweight/dp/B075H57394?th=1
